Summer Solstice Today was the longest day of the year. The first day of summer was spent for me in Rochester New York playing an early morning pro am. This week is the LPGA Championship, the second major of the year. I am excited to play this week. I am playing well and feel like everything is coming together. I am a confident person and believe in myself but my belief needs to increase by 10 times. I have put in all of the hard work and I am ready to break through!

Mobile, Alabama This week is really tough. One of my fellow competitors was found dead in her home on Monday.... We will all miss Erica Blasberg. We are having a service tonight at the golf course for her. Please pray for her family and friends.

Morelia, Mexico I love traveling to different places around the world, but every time I do I realize how much I love the USA. This week I am in Morelia, Mexico playing my second event of the year. I would describe the golf course as virtual reality.... There is so much change in elevation and hitting over ravines, lakes, canyons, etc. One hole is only 330 yards, but straight up hill. We get a shuttle from the tee to the fairway and then from the fairway to the green! The weather is perfect everyday, 85 degrees and some wind. The 18th hole has hurt me the last two days... double bogey. The hole owes me tomorrow, maybe a birdie is waiting for me.... Wish me luck!

First Event of Season I headed on a red eye flight to Florida for a warm up Duramed Furtures tour event. When I woke up on Tuesday morning as my flight landed in Orlando, I could not swallow and my throat was burning. I thought no big deal, drove to Howey-in-the-Hills and worked with my instructor for two hours. We worked on my swing mechanics and I was feeling confident for the week. The golf course in Winter Haven where the tournament was being played was in rough shape. Patching fairways, greens were even worse, we really need to play lift, clean and cheat. Friday morning my tonsils are on fire, I decide to go see a doctor....Strep Throat! I decide to withdraw and fly home to rest for the LPGA event in San Diego the following week.
I was very weak in San Diego, played decent but I was hitting my iron shots twenty yards shorter than normal. That makes the course play extra long! The weather was perfect and I was ready to play well. I just did not have enough energy or strength to compete at my highest level. I missed the cut by two shots. My next tournament is 4 weeks away in Morelia, Mexico. Time to rest, practice and be the most prepared player at that event. I want to win this year! Why not the next event....
