It has been a while
I have to go back to q-school this year. I have been working really hard on my golf game. Being mentally tough on all of my shots over an entire round and tournament, has been a major focus. I am looking forward to playing in a warm-up event next week at LPGA international. Thi is the same course that q-school will be played on. I am reading the book called "The 15th club" right now. It is teaching me some new methods about how to maintain confidence throughout my career. It is a great read! I am ready to play great!!!

Hawaii
Hi everyone, it has been a long time since you have heard any thing from me. I am in Hawaii for the last regular season event of the year. Maui is beautiful, it is where my husband and I got engaged. It is a special place to me. We celebrated our second anniversary on Tuesday over the phone. Greg is concentrating on his job right now, so he could not be with me in Kapalua. Wish me luck today. I need to play my best not to have to go back to Q-school. Aloha.

Safeway Classic
It is the last year that the Safeway Classic will be at Columbia Edgewater country club. I am excited to play this next week. My putting is starting to feel better. I am hitting the ball well. I found out that the things that I have been trying to do in my golf swing but have not been able to achieve are caused by poor posture and lack of strength in certain areas of my body. I have developed a workout plan to get my body back in balance and in perfect posture. When I try and have better posture in my swing, I hit it pure. I am working hard and looking forward to a fun week.

Hello Again!
Sorry I have been absent for a while on my blog. I have been busy with a lot of things. I have been playing well as of late. I just have not strung more than one good round together. I am working on my game in Howey-in-the-hills, Florida with my instructor Gary Gilchrist. I will have to qualify for the Canadian Womens Open coming up in two weeks. I feel really good about my game, just need one good event. I will stay patient and continue to work hard.

Baltimore
Well the last tournament I played did not go as planned. I hit a few errant shots and got on the bogey train at the McDonalds LPGA Championship in the first round. Basically, shot myself in the foot the first day and could not recover enough the second day to miss the cut. But I did enjoy some blue crabs on Friday night! The Open qualifier was on Monday. 36 holes in 100 degree heat. It was a grueling day! I had to carry my umbrella to provide some shade for the day. I missed it by three shots. Next year I am going to a different site. The field is so strong at that site close to the LPGA event. I would have qualified and most any other site with the scores that I shot. I am preparing for play next week in Rochester. The course sets up really well for me. Tight fairways and small greens. It is what I grew up on at Pleasant Valley. I hope to have a good week.

New York
Well last week I made it through the rain. The second round at the Sybase tournament I played ten holes in the pouring rain and then they washed it out. It did not count. So Saturday we replayed the second round. I am playing good, I have three holes to play, I am on the bubble. Just miss for birdie, hit it close on 17th hole, just miss again, last hole long par four, 9 wood to five feet, I make it! I make the cut on the number. Played ok on Sunday, shot two over. New York was fun, we went to a Broadway show Phantom of the Opera, and looked at some amazing art at the Met. The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now I am in Corning, New York. They gave us an opportunity to drive a race car at Watkins Glen. I took them up on it and drove around the track in blazing speed. I am preparing for this week by working on my putting a ton. Last week my putting let me down. This week with a hot putter you never know what could happen!

New York, New York
I had to do the local stage of US Open qualifying today in New Jersey at Hamilton Farms. It was fifty degrees, windy, rainy, and the course was set up very tough. I hit almost all fairway woods into the greens, struggled around the golf course. My shoes were soaking wet, but I qualified for the second and final stage. I am now getting ready for the Sybase event. The course is set up well for me. Got to get the putter going!

Tulsa
Hello again! I have been working hard on my game in Florida for the last two weeks. I spent the last four days with my instructor Gary Gilchrist at Mission Inn. My swing has never felt better, I am putting great, and my chipping is getting really sharp. I am excited to tee it up this week on one of the best courses that we play all year. I arrived today in Tulsa with no golf clubs, but I am hoping they will arrive later tonight!

Phoenix
This week I tried to qualify for the event in Phoenix at Superstition Mountain. I played well shooting 69 on Monday morning. I waited around for three hours and two girls shot better a 68 and 66. I missed it by one stroke. So I flew over to Palm Springs to play some golf with my parents at Indian Wells, The Classic Club, and practice out at Big Horn one day. I am glad I am down in the warm sunshine because it is my understanding that it is snowing in Portland. It is the end of March, what is going on? I am going to work with my instructor Gary Gilchrist on the weekend. My next event will be in Morelia Mexico. Morelia is a great place in Mexico and the people their are very friendly.

Mexico
My sister-in-law had a baby girl today. I am an aunt again! I am down in Mexico City and could not be there to see her today. I borrowed one of my pro-am partners phone to call home and see what happened. I am preparing for the Mastercard tournament that begins tomorrow. I am starting to play really well and excited to compete this weekend.

Birthday!
I am 26 years old today! I played golf in the morning with some friends. Now it is time to have a nice dinner with my family at my friends restaurant Ciao Vito in NE Portland. I have been working hard on my golf game. My birthday present to me is to rest and regenerate today.

Aloha
I went to Hawaii not knowing if I would get into either event. I landed on Saturday before the SBS Open. I played a practice round on Sunday. Monday morning I had to qualify. I really lowered my expectations that day, the wind was at least 25 mph. I shot three under, tied for first! I am in the event, and I am already tired. I take it really easy on Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday afternoon the greens are crusty and very beat up. I keep hitting it to about ten feet or closer and just draining all of the putts on the back nine. I know I am playing well but I do not want to add up my score. On the last hole a short par 5, I have a little flip wedge into an elevated green. It hits the front edge of the green and spins back down the hill. I am now faced with a very difficult shot to a tightly tucked pin. I have to hit a high, soft flop shot. I hit it perfectly and it rolls to 6 feet away. This green is really, really beat up. I know it will take a little luck to make it. I hit it perfectly and it bounces about ten times and just misses, 68, four under par, not bad for the day. On Saturday, I did not play my best, but I know that my best is yet to come this year! One day off, I am exhausted I just played two events in one week. I did not qualify for the Ko Olina event, I am all out of gas! I am now home in Portland, preparing for my next event in Mexico City in two weeks.
